Det var på Mykines som värmlänningen friade till mig! Jag tackade ja förstås!
Det enda problemet med Mykines är att om man lyckas ta sig dit, så är det inte garanterat att man kommer därifrån då man har tänkt sig, ibland kan inte båten komma i land där, så man sitter fast på ön tills vädret och havet behagar att lugna ner sig...
Båten var försenad kommer jag ihåg på¨grund av dimma, men vi kom iväg, tillbaks till den större ön Vagoy och vidare med bussen till andra ställen på Färöarna.

Sedan Gjogv, the name means ravine or gorge, and in this case the name is given because of the shape of the harbour...
We stayed in the wonderful Youth hostel in Gjogv, with grass on the roof, and built in the style of a Viking hall, with a large open communal room and small sleeping areas tucked in at the sides. We had buttercups swaying in the Velux window above us when we woke up in the morning.

The churches on the Faroe Islands are wonderful, in each one of them you will see a model boat hanging from the ceiling, for the protection of the fishermen at sea...
